24.09 Percent Profit after 5 Weeks

Another Week went by. So an update of the Value of my “Retirement Account” is due. If I would close all my Positions right now I would have €12,409, so my Account is up 24.09% after 5 Weeks. Not bad considering the fact, that it takes only 5 Minutes of work per week to do these Trades. I’m currently holding: +9 X CL Aug 2018 Future -9 X CL Jul 2018 Future -2 X CL Jun 2018 Future +2 X CL Jan 2019 65.5 Call Option +200 X VXX Shares -2 X VXX May 04 2018 41.5 Call I got the Jun CL Futures from the Assignment on Friday and will close them later today and trade them for CL Call Options.

12.57 Percent Profit after 4 Weeks

Another Monday and another Account Value Update. If I would close all my Positions today I would have 11,257 Euros (Net Liquidation Value), so my Account is up 12.57% or 1,257 Euros after 4 weeks. I’m currently holding: +9 X CL Aug 2018 Future -9 X CL Jul 2018 Future +2 X CL Jan 2019 65.5 Call Option -2 X CL APR 27 2018 65.5 Call Option +200 X VXX Shares -2 X VXX Apr 27 2018 41.5 Call It seems that there is absolutely no buyer for my CL APR 27 65.5 Call Options. I guess I will let them exercise at the end of the week. I will buy the Future back on Monday and sell another Option. The weekly CL Options don’t have the liquidity I was expecting, so I have to stick with monthly Options.

My Trades April 19 2018

Since I was holding my SPY Put and Oil is on fire, margin requirements were not met, so Interactive Brokers closed some of my Positions. No Problem at all. When I saw what happened I’ve closed my SPY Put and sold the CL Future again that IB closed yesterday. Instead of adding another CL Spread I’ve bought 200 VXX Shares and sold 2 APR 27 41.5 VXX Calls. The idea is to take advantage of the Time Decay. Will see how this turns out.

594 Euros Profit after 3 Weeks

So, another Monday and another Account Update. The Value of my “Retirement Account” is 10,594 Euros today, which means that my Profit is 594 Euros in 3 Weeks. Oil is up another $4 or something like that, since last week, so my Future Spreads are down quite a bit since last week, which doesn’t bother me at all. Will probable take 4-8 weeks until I can close them for $-0.20 On Wednesday I will rollover my SPY Puts. I’m currently holding 10 CL Jul/Aug Calendar Spreads and -1 SPY April 20 265 PUT.

Stocks, ETFs, Futures, Options, Forex, CFDs – What to trade?

As a Trader or Daytrader you need to know the differences between the different Products that can be traded with your Broker. Everything has advantages and disadvantages in general and not every Trader is the same. My Broker offers a lot of Products that can be traded, which include Stocks, ETFs, Futures, Options, Forex and CFDs. What are Stocks? Stocks are Shares of a Company. With every Stock you buy, you buy a Piece of a Company, no matter if you buy 100.000 Shares or just 1. But what does that exactly mean? Why do Companies go Public and start to sell Shares? The main reason is to raise capital. Companies sell their Shares for the IPO Price and receive a lot of Money. The biggest Advantage is , that they never have to pay it back. If somebody or a Company is taking out a loan from a Bank, they will have to pay it back plus additional Interest. A Company which is traded public sold their Shares and they don’t have to buy them back. They’ve got the Money from the Investor. If the Stock Price falls, it is theoretically not their Problem. I say theoretically, because of[…]

Day 16: Plus 7.3%

I’ve been quite busy today, so I had only 2 Trades. I “knew” Oil would pull back a little, so I left the trade open without a Stop and I was in deep red for a while. Very risky and dumb!!! Trading Results since February 16. 2018:

Day 15: Plus 3.17%

I’ve managed to make €158 today which is 3.17% of the Account. But I admit that I was not really trading concentrated as I was busy with other things. If I would trade like this always I would blow my Account again. I will do some testing on Friday and show my Wife how I trade and let her trade my Demo Account. So I’m not posting any gains or losses on Friday. Next Trading Day for my Journal will be Monday. Trading Results since February 16. 2018:

Day 14: Plus 12.5%

I’ve had quite a few more trades than the Days before today and there is still plenty of time until the Markets close. But I’m getting very tired now so I better don’t risk to lose any of today’s Gains. Made 12.5% today, which is 554 Euros. I know, I know this is just Paper Trading, but it is almost as stressful as real trading. I don’t want to post any losses or dumb trades, so I’m putting myself under more stress by writing this Journal. I’m pretty sure I will be able to handle my Emotions when real money is involved. Anyway, I will Paper Trade for a couple more weeks. Let’s see where it goes. Trading Results since February 16. 2018:
