Well, the Wirecard disaster has finally led to the fact that the MCO Visa cards from Crypto.com can no longer be used for the time being.
In a statement from Crypto.com it says today:

Our statement regarding MCO Visa Cards issued by Wirecard UK for Europe

Following a notice regarding Wirecard UK by the FCA, we have just been requested to stop all activity on our card programs in the UK and Europe. Our customers in those two regions will not be able to top-up their cards or transact later today.

Our customer funds are safe. Our team is working on processing credits to the crypto wallets equivalent to the fiat balances held on the cards. We expect this to be completed within 48 hours.

Separately, we’re working on transferring the card program to a new provider, so that we can resume the issuing of cards in the UK and Europe and allow existing and new customers to benefit from our card program again.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

As I still had €122 Fiat money in my MCO Visa Card account, I quickly ran to the ATM and tried to withdraw €120, which luckily worked out. Who knows when there will be new partners and new cards. It is not possible to transfer money from the MCO Visa Card account back to the Fiat Wallet. So I preferred to withdraw it quickly. By the way, the transaction didn’t cost anything.
Too bad, that was a short joy with the Crypto.com credit card. I hope there will be a new partner soon. But I will leave my crypto currencies in the app. I am not worried about that. If you couldn’t withdraw any money anymore, I think you shouldn’t worry. The money isn’t gone, but the question is when will you get it back.
